Aims
Incorporated in April 2008, the Australian Local Government Women’s Association NT (ALGWANT) is a not for profit organisation. Our purpose is to:
- Assist in promoting knowledge of the role of and function of Local Government
- Promote, support and encourage women to participate and be represented in Local Government
- Promote, support and encourage women to make Local Government a career choice
- Promote and advocate for the common interests of women who are engaged in, or interested in Local Government
Our activities include an annual networking breakfast, a newsletter and participation in the International Women’s Day March in Darwin.
